Sonny is your typical 5 month old puppy who is full of beans and full of potential. He is a very smart boy; he will sit, wait for his food bowl to be placed in front of him and is almost fully toilet trained. He has only been on the lead a couple of times while waiting to be fully vaccinated but now he's all done, he can go out for walkies in the outside world, and so far has been good walking on lead. He will jump up at you to say hi, so that will need some ongoing work with his new owners, but is such a helpful pup who likes to follow you around and be involved in what you're doing. At night time he likes to be near his human and sleeps through the night happily if so. In the daytime if you are out, he will enjoy lying on your bed waiting for you if he's got access indoors. He will run off with the occasional loo roll or tea towel as a game.
Sonny is great with other dogs but he does like to play quite hard, so if you have a playful dog who can tell Sonny when they've had enough, that would be great! Sonny hasn't found his off button yet, which makes him ideal for an active, fun loving family who like daily walks, lots of games (Sonny loves his squeaky toys and doesn't like sharing them!) and a constant companion. His bounciness may be too much for very small kids but he will be a good play buddy for older kids.
Sonny is social with the cats in his foster home but does want to play with them (they are not so sure!) So if you are seeking a dog compatible pooch, Sonny could suit.
Ideally you will be home bodies, part time or home workers for this adorable boy who loves company, although he will cope with a few hours a day apart from you especially if you have another dog. We'd love to hear from you if you feel Sonny would make a good addition to your family.
