About Leo
Let's talk about Leo -
This beautiful independent- slightly self centred - 15 year old lady arrived to us a little while ago under sad circumstances - we offered to give her a second chance of life - yep it was nearly taken away from her a little early. This is something we offer to otherwise healthy cats whom for different reasons are nearly euthanised. It's a sad fact that surrendering isn't always the first option, sometimes people feel that if they can't have their cat and no one they know can have their cat that they only option is to end it.
Harsh? - but honest. We need more people to know we exist and that we care - every cat deserves a chance to start fresh if the time arises.
Leo took a while to settle in - but after 15 years living in a home you wouldn't expect her to walk in and claim her pen easy. She has now moved into a homely room at our Adoption Centre hardly taking up any space as she's found comfort in one of our mounted drawers on the wall.
Ok so let's share the honest truth - she's a let me rub myself on you kind of a girl, she's certainly not miss lovey dovey, she's not going to let you snuggle her or over crowd her, but let me tell you that when she chooses to give you that precious headbutt - you know she loves you, you know she's ok and that she's grateful.
There are many different personalities in cats - just like us - Leo is just more independent and happy in her own space, what sort of home would she be looking for?
1- no young children who would bother her
2- no other cats
3 - dogs would be ok because she's certainly bossy enough to control them
4- indoors and safe from harm
5- someone who isn't needing a needy cat who craves attention
6- a cozy bed perched up high where she can be content and watch over you - not you watching over her
7- love - security - not too many high expectations
8- someone just willing to give her a chance
9- look past the ungratefulness of the first meet and greet 😂
10- just someone who cares
Leo deserved to be loved just like everyone else
By the way - she's happy with her own company!
