About Chas
The Beaglier is a cross between a Beagle and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Compact and energetic, this breed inherited some of the best qualities from both of its parents.
Chas will make a great family addition for active singles or families with older children (over 10 years of age) in a home with a medium/large garden. If you are looking for a puppy who has a spirited and fun-loving personality, then he may be your soulmate.
Some facts about the Beaglier:- The Beaglier is a designer dog breed - there are no two ways about it! As mentioned above, this breed is the offspring of a Beagle and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. The end result is an easy going, energetic small/medium dog which has less of a hunting instinct and scent drive than the beagle does. The addition of the spaniel traits brought some nice personality into the mix, making it an excellent family dog.
Beagliers are prone to weight gain, and they have high energy levels. Make sure your Beaglier gets at least one good half hour to one hour long walk per day with a few good, active play sessions in the backyard mixed in.
Beagliers are best suited to be around adults or older kids who know how to play gently. They can get along with other animals if they are introduced slowly and calmly, and early socialisation will help this go smoothly.
They typically have short shiny coats and they're generally pretty easy to groom. A good brushing once a week will usually do. Of course, they love water and enjoy a good bath too.
Chas is a small to medium sized dog who is playful, affectionate and gentle. He will make a wonderful addition to however is lucky enough to adopt him. We are looking to place him in a home where there is someone home during the day - having another dog for company is a plus too!!
Medical notes
Chas has had his first vaccination and is due to have his 2nd vaccination at 12 weeks of age and his 3rd vaccination at 16 weeks of age.

.......................
Midcoast Dog Rescue Inc. is trying to expand its foster carer network so that we can help more dogs in need. This is a very rewarding experience and suits a variety of people. Some people, for whatever reason, are unable to make a permanent commitment to a dog, a commitment which can last for up to 15 years. Others use the fostering experience as an interim measure before committing to permanently owning a dog. If you think you could be interested in becoming a foster carer, either on a long-term or a short-term basis, and would like more information please contact Nigel on 6584 4992 or Wendy on 6584 7027.
