About Piper
The affectionate, active and mischevious girl Piper is ready to find a loving home that can meet her needs.
Piper is a very energetic cat who needs good opportunity for stimulation throughout the day & evening.
While it would be best for Piper’s safety that she remains an indoor cat, she also does not respond well to being contained or separated from others, and will scratch at walls and doors persistently when she wants to know what is on the other side. Piper loves to be involved in everything her humans are doing.
A larger home with plenty of room to run around, or one with opportunity for some safe outdoor time (e.g. cat enclosure) would be most suitable.
Piper loves to play and can get quite enthusiastic during play time. She enjoys hide and seek in boxes/tunnels, and chasing after ribbons and ping pong balls. She needs dedicated play time each day as an energy release. Piper’s enthusiasm for play often leads her to stalk, chase and pounce on other cats. While this doesn't seem viscous in nature, this should be kept in mind if introducing Piper to other cats, as she can get a little rough. For this reason, Piper may be best suited to a home with no other pets.
Piper loves her food and is a very quick & persistent eater. In order to maintain a dry food grazing routine, a slow feeding mat or portioned automated feeder would be ideal. Open access to food isn’t suited to her. Again, this should be kept in mind for multiple-pet households, as Piper will seek out and eat other pet’s food if given the opportunity. Piper’s love of food also means that she is very excited when her owners prepare and eat meals. Be ready for her to cheekily jump on kitchen benches/tables to take a peek at what you’re eating.
Piper is very curious of her surroundings and will climb any accessible furniture and nibble on house plants. The household should allow for Piper to safely explore by removing any plants or items that are toxic to cats. Piper will need an owner who has lots of patience to manager her curious nature.
Piper is confident and quirky. You’ll most likely see her exploring her surroundings and rolling around with her tummy up in no time at all. She is a very affectionate cat who loves sitting on laps and snuggling in bed. She is a great cuddle companion and is very comfortable being picked up and held. Piper is a chatty girl and is always up for a conversation, particularly if there’s food involved! She will greet you excitedly when you come home and gives the cutest head boops and licks to say hello. If you’re looking for a sweet and charismatic cat who will also keep you on your toes, Piper is the girl for you. She would really appreciate a home with lots of love and understanding.
Piper's date of birth is 13/9/2020. She goes to her new home flea and worm treated, fully vaccinated, desexed and microchipped. Piper's adoption fee is $200

Adoption details
We like to take the personal approach where a person sends an email of interest around an animal and then we will follow up with phone discussions and email exploration through a survey.
Please note we are a small group of volunteers that balances the administrative side with the care of the animals.
Please only apply for one of our animals if you are genuinely interested in them.
We expect the prospective owner to travel to meet the animal and we are open to trial periods to ensure we have the match right.
