About Rosie
At not more than 12 weeks old, Rosie was rescued off the streets. She was so small and scared, she would lash, hiss and hide. Rosie was found with Matou, who was around 7 weeks old, and when they were reunited in foster care Matou howled with relief and joy to have the support of Rosie by his side. Rosie on the other hand was solely focused on feeling safe by being free!
From the outset Rosie was an independent Miss Kitten, a survivor with wit and intelligence, and a protector for Matou. When Rosie looked you in the eyes you understood her reluctance to be touched and cuddled. She grew up only knowing how to run and hide and search for food in the darkness of the night. However, over the 6 months she has been supported, she has opened up, become relaxed and enjoys being cared for.
Her life is so wonderful now, and she has told her carer she never wants to go back to the hard street life again!
Rosie has the most stunning eyes and beautiful facial features. She is after all a calico! Other great features of Rosie are:
-She may surprise you in the middle of the night as she jumps up on the bed for a snuggle.
-She will wait patiently in the lounge room for play time.
-She loves to catch cockroaches for you.
-She will tell you when it’s time to open the door via her distinct meow.
-She loves to sun bake, bird watch and observe all the goings on in the street.
And lastly she is no push over and stands her ground against the charming and amorous moves of Matou :O
Rosie is courageous and courteous, and it is an absolute honour to be able to give her the love and affection at the distance she is comfortable with. With time, patience and adoration, Rosie will become the most loyal companion and will gift you with her closeness, and rewards will be worthy for all.
