About Pikelet
Meet the gorgeous Pikelet! Pikelet was very, very nervous when she first arrived in the shelter, but she has since been in foster for several weeks and has come a long way! Her foster family have spent a lot of time with her, providing structure, routine and predictability, and now that she has built a bond with them, she is a complete angel! She is finally ready for adoption from her foster home since the shelter is way too scary for her. Pikelet is a quirky girl who loves pats and soft toys and loves sleeping on her foster carer's bed under the blankets. Her new family will need to be prepared for her to take a couple of months to fully relax and bond with everyone in the home. Her foster family have managed to train her to the point where she can be left alone for extended periods of time however her new adopters will need to continue to manage her separation anxiety in a new environment. Pikelet would love it if her new family could be home with her as much as possible since she is a very people orientated dog and loves your company. Since she is prone to zoomies, Pikelet would be best with older, calm children who are okay with her size! A secure yard is required for Pikelet's bursts of energy. Since Pikelet is housetrained and has always been an inside dog, she needs to stay an indoor dog since this is all she's known! She may be okay living with a cat who is comfortable with dogs, and may be okay with a well-matched easy-going male dog however she is best as an only dog. If you are committed to Pikelet's ongoing training and have plenty of time to settle her in to her new home, please enquire at RSPCA for this snuggle-bug by calling on 5978 9001 to arrange a meet and greet!
