About Gammy
PLEASE NOTE THAT UNFORTUNATELY WE ARE UNABLE TO FLY OUR ANIMALS EITHER WITHIN WA OR INTERSTATE. WE CAN HOWEVER ARRANGE TRANSPORT BY ROAD TO THE PERTH AREA.
NAME: Gammy
BEFORE SAFE ESPERANCE: Came to SAFE Esperance with his siblings.
ASSETS: Gammy is just such a special boy. He is a tripawd which makes him extra extra special. Dear Gammy is minus one front leg and most of his tail due to injuries when we took him but he is the best little fighter you could come across and made it through - what this boy hasn't survived isn't worth knowing about!! On top of all this, he is the sweetest kitty who loves strokes and cuddles and will lie across your arm for Gammy cuddles. Having said that, he is also sassy with attitude! You don't get to survive lots of trauma without some sassy! He will therefore let you know when he doesn't want to do something with a tiny love bite, but if you persist so will he ha ha.
FAVOURITE THINGS: Gammy loves to play either by himself or with the other kitties in his foster home - being a tripod doesn't hold him back and he can bat a ball with the rest of them. He will also seek you out for some strokes and one on one time together. He is quite an independent chap but does need a loving human.
OTHER ANIMALS: Gammy lives in a foster home with other cats and loves their company. He is very confident and easy going and they all get along great so he could definitely live in a home with other friendly cats after gentle, supervised introductions. He has seen dogs close up but not lived with them, so could possibly be friends with a cat friendly canine.
OTHER INFO: Gammy does need help sometimes to be lifted down from a higher surface as he only has one little leg at the front to break his fall but apart from that he does just fine. Gammy is litter trained and very clean. He is flea-treated wormed, microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.
IDEAL HOME: Gammy would be great in a home with people or other animals that want company. He hasn't been in a home with children and due to his disability would be best suited to older children that understand his needs. As he has some limitations, he will need to be kept as an indoor only cat or have access to a large, secure outside run.
If Gammy sounds like the perfect feline for your family, please send an enquiry and we'll be in touch soon.
