Hi friends,

My name is Ben and I'm a very special man!

I am a lovely and affectionate boy who loves my humans, but I'm a little bit insecure. I haven't been exposed to the hustle and bustle of life outside my previous home and because of this I can be a little bit unsure in new and busy surroundings and unfamiliar sounds. Though, as long as I have my human with me to show me there's nothing to worry about, my confidence will grow with love and patience!

I have amazing manners and am a sweet gentleman, but I'd love to learn some tricks in my new home to help build trust with my new family and help grow my confidence.

I am after a mature household with no kids under 16 as I can sometimes get overwhelmed with too much touch. That being said, I would still love pats but just need someone to identify when I wouldn't like any more pats. So a dog experienced would be best to help me navigate through life and recognise when I'm feeling uncomfortable.

I would prefer the company of just hoomans. I would not be suited to a home with other dogs or going for adventures to high traffic areas including dog parks or beaches. I would love to go for a quiet walk in an area that doesn't have too many other dogs around and explore all of the different scents.

I love my food, but tend to just graze on it through the day rather than eating it all at once.

If I sound like the perfect dog for you please come and meet me at the shelter. I will be sure to give you the biggest puppy dog eyes so you have to take me home with you.
