About Scarlett
Meet our two and a half year old female stock coated German Shepherd affectionate girl called Scarlett.
Scarlett has in her young life had two homes both have loved her but have found her not suitable for very young children. This in itself is not Scarlett’s fault. Being an intuitive and intelligent dog she needs a home with a family who understand her intelligence and will provide her with a daily routine with consistency and who understand her energy level and playfulness.
She loves children but older children who are dog savvy children and who will be firm and understand her needs.
Scarlett is a loving, affectionate family female Shepherd who will give you her unconditional love and loyalty. Scarlett would also be a wonderful companion dog for a retired couple.
Scarlett is currently located in Newcastle, is completely house trained and will need an experienced German Shepherd owner or have owned a large breed dog.
If you have the experience and commitment to adopt a rescue German Shepherd who once connected will give you her complete loyalty then please click on the petrescue link "Enquire about Scarlett".
If you live in Queensland or Victoria, you can be considered, however you will need to be able to drive to Newcastle with your family and any dogs to meet Scarlett. If for any reason she doesn't fit your family you will be responsible for bringing her back to Sydney or helping us to rehome from your home.
Medical notes
Scarlett is microchipped, desexed, fully immunised and heart worm tested negative
Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
