About Nacho
Hi I’m Nacho a Pomeranian x Chihuahua and tomorrow (Saturday the 8th October) I turn 7 years young!
I came into care about 5 months ago with some medical issues – I have epilepsy.
Now please give me a chance and keep reading as my foster mum can explain it.
The rescue organized for me to be on medication and this really helps control it – I am happy to take the medication daily – especially if it’s in a treat!
I still can have a seizure or two a week and while they are scary for people to see - I am okay – I just need some time after my seizure to rest and have some quiet time.
Stress can also bring on my seizures so I am looking for a home where there is a human home more often than not, retired or works from home so I can hang when I want, I love keeping my humans company and at the end of the day having a good cuddle on the couch.
Thru the day I’m happy to hang out inside with you, access to outside thru a doggy door would be awesome, I am toilet trained
I am cat friendly
I am dog friendly but would require either another small breed dog or I am more than happy to be the only furkid and give all my love to the humans.
I also love a good blanket snuggle and have been known to give my mum a small scare when she is looking for me and I suddenly pop my head up from under the doona where I have been snoozing!
Kids - I like kids but I am not comfortable with them trying to pick me up or the squealing but
I 'm happy to snuggle up to them if they are chillaxing on the couch.
I can jump up on the couch and happily sit on your lap anytime of the day or night.
I am a great car travelling buddy - love to look out the window and watch everything go by.
I am a young guy who has learnt to enjoy the luxury of an indoor life and have great indoor manners.

Adoption details
Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.
Please Note: We do not hold any animals so please only apply if you are ready to adopt now
Please note - We don't take calls on adoption enquiries - an application must be completed
We can also be found at https://www.facebook.com/pawprintscanine/
Complete the following adoption enquiry link
https://goo.gl/forms/PqpkCcE89ikDR2Lw1
Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
