About Indy
Indy is a lovely example of his breed. He is very intelligent and is a loyal companion. He loves to work, learn new things, and keep active. Indy's owner is being deployed overseas and is saddened that they can't take him with them, so they are looking for a new home to provide Indy with plenty of love.
Indy works best with calm, confident, rewards-based training and would be suited to an active person or family with teenage children, and interest/experience in dog training.
Indy's favourite things are food, his ball or frisbee, and his treat puzzles. Indy has only been trained as a companion dog, but he's highly food and ball-motivated, so he has the potential for much more.
At home, Indy will come to you for a short hug in the morning and night, but he is independent and prefers a job over a cuddle. If you are spending too much time on the couch, Indy will bring you a ball or show you his tricks until you give in and play with him.
When you aren't around, Indy is happy to lie on his bed or in his crate and watch the neighbourhood activities. He'll bark at passing cats and sometimes other dogs, and he will assume anything you leave for him is a toy to be played with.
Indy spends his days outside, so a good-sized yard and secure fencing are required. He has plenty of energy for daily walks and can keep up on long hikes or rides. He spends his nights inside and will sleep all night in his bed.
In his new home, Indy would be content as an only pet or could potentially live with another suitable dog. Any introductions to other dogs would need to be slow and supervised. Due to his working instincts, Indy would not be suited to a home with cats or pocket pets.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s owner - the person who knows them best!
It’s a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
From here, the owner will be in touch with you to chat a bit more about their pet, and if they feel your home is the best fit, they will arrange a ‘meet and greet’ for you all to get to know each other.
Should this prove successful, arrangements will be made for the pet to move straight from its current home into yours upon payment of the adoption fee.
The adoption fee is paid directly to PetRescue (via a secure payment link), and assists us to continue to run and develop programs to assist pet owners, just like Home2Home.
Change of Ownership paperwork will be completed, vetwork history will be provided and your new family member will be snuggled on your couch in no time!
