About Polly & Tommy
One of our lovely clients was working at Balmain Public School in March this year, when she stumbled across 3 tiny newborn kittens. Julia and her daughter ended up bottle-feeding, weaning and raising these three beautiful kittens, and giving them lots of love and care.
One of the kittens found his forever home, but Tommy and Polly have remained in foster care. We met the kittens when they were boarding here at the clinic and heard the story, so we've offered to help Julia find this glorious pair a home.
Tommy & Polly are not only the most plush, silky, sweet teddy bear kittens you'll ever meet- they are also extremely affectionate. They adore each other and need to stay together.
They are dog friendly; and adore the 8 year old cavoodle they live with in foster care. They're confident and brave, and they handle all kinds of Balmain traffic noise, fireworks and dog barking.
Tommy: the baby of the pair. All he wants to do is put his paws around your neck and cuddle. He does go mad playing but he also needs lots of affection and will be first to jump on your lap. He is very reliant on his sister and gets quite agitated if he cannot see her. He has a series of toys that he walks around with in his mouth.
Polly: loves cuddles and affection but is also more independent. She is very happy sitting in the front garden, chasing lizards and running around. She does mother Tommy and they are often found sitting together in a sunny spot.
If you are interested in adopting either of these kittens, please direct all inquiries to Julia via email:
Adoption details
Please direct messages to Rosie, our kitten adoption officer. Please provide as much details about your home and family as possible. We are a very busy vet hospital, so we prefer no phone calls :) Thank you.
IMPORTANT: All cats and kittens adopted out from Drummoyne Veterinary Hospital MUST go to either an indoor-only home, or a home with a suitable cat-proof outdoor area or enclosure. Our mission is to make Sydney a better place for cats, their families and our precious wildlife. That means responsible re-homing. We want our cats and kittens to go to the safest, most loving of homes. We don't want them exposed to risks such as getting hit by a car, dog attacks, cruelty from people, injury or death from cat fights or dog attacks, or contracting infectious disease. We want them to live a long, happy and healthy life with their families; safe from harm :)
Please note we do not hold kittens - it's a first in, first served basis once we have reviewed your application and invited you to meet the kitten.
