Maui ~ Kelpie X Staffy(On Trial 4/11/22)

Meet Maui the adorable 12 week old Kelpie x Staffy pup. Maui is just the sweetest boy who loves to come snuggle in your lap at any chance he gets!

He spends most of his time playing zoomies or relaxing in the backyard with his sister. He loves fetching his ball & playing with his puppy toys. He is super affectionate and just looooves his cuddles! He really enjoys being around his humans and follows his foster mum or dad everywhere they go.

Since coming into care Maui has learnt how to sit & walk nicely on his lead. He currently sleeps inside in his puppy pen with his sister and more often than not will sleep through the night without needing a toilet break. Being a typical puppy, he still has a lot to learn and would therefore benefit from on-going training or puppy pre-school so would need a family that is willing to commit the time to training him. He has responded well to toilet training however still has a few accidents occasionally.

Maui’s forever family will need to be home more often than not, especially during his younger months. He will need a lot of mental stimulation and exercise due to his working breed. Maui has not been exposed to older dogs however he would likely benefit from a big brother or sister to teach him the ropes. He may get lonely being an only dog unless of course he is able to spend most of his time with his humans.

Maui is currently living with 2 children aged 5 & 7 and although he is great with them he can be a little jumpy & excited therefore would suggest no children under 5. Maui will need a secure backyard with no gaps.

Maui’s adoption fee is $700 which includes all up to date vet work. Maui is microchipped, vaccinated and treated for fleas and worms. His adoption fee covers his desexing at 5/6 months.

As Maui is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he will need to be returned to a DRN approved vet for desexing when he is approximately 5/6 months old. Please NO out of area applications.
