About Cheech and Pickles
‘Older Dachshunds Need Forever Homes Too’
Cheech and Pickles, a bonded pair, are still seeking a loving home. A few applications have been received and although the homes offered are lovely, none are just the right fit. So the search continues.
Cheech and Pickles are typical of the dachshund breed. They are affectionate, loyal, playful and comical. They are also territorial and fiercely protective of their owners when walking on the lead.
In the distant past Cheech was beautifully trained but will need a refresher course on doggy etiquette to once again become a well behaved dachshund. While Pickles is wary of strangers, Cheech is a a friendly girl who will readily lap up the attention. Pickles has a fondness for playing fetch. It is guaranteed that you will tire of the game well before he does.
Please consider offering these deserving seniors a forever home. It must however have the following features:
Someone is home mostly to provide companionship to this loving pair
Confidence in training and managing reactivity on the lead
A single story home or an apartment with easy, stepless access to a garden or courtyard. Both dachshunds had a minor IVDD episode in the past, treated conservatively and then making a full recovery. However care must be taken to protect their vulnerable backs.
Definitely no young children, cats, birds or small pets.
Please click on the apply button if you are able to offer these gorgeous dachshunds a loving home.
