About Yella
Hi, my name is Yella.
I was so happy when the pound told me Chally were going to save me from being put to sleep, I had babies in my belly, and nobody knew. I was very skinny from my last home so the people at the pound didn’t know how precious my little surprise was. Anyway, lucky for me and my babies I was put on transport and made my way to Chally and my foster home that was so warm and loving. My foster mum said she knew straight away I had brought a family with me so gave me extra special food and love to let me know we were safe and loved. I had EIGHT babies inside me and together with my foster mum we made sure they had the very best love and care, and they have all grown up strong and healthy, I’m so happy!!
I love my foster mum with all my heart and will be forever grateful to her, but she said it’s time for me to find my own family who she has promised will love me as much as she does FOREVER! It’s going to be very hard for me to leave her because I’m such a loyal and loving one person dog. Don’t get me wrong, I love getting pats and attention from everyone, but I will always have “my person” who I will love with all my heart.
I am the most devoted girl you will every find and I’m looking for my special person. I can get scared that I will be left without love when you leave me alone, I just can’t help it. Even though my foster mum says she is always coming back and told me my new owner will always come back too, I just worry too much and get anxious. I really need someone that is home almost always and is happy to take me with them when they go places, I LOVE going in the car and am first to the door when I hear keys jingle.
These are the things my foster mum says about me:
I’m a BIG couch potato, I sleep more than I’m awake, I am great on lead and love a sniffy walks, I’m a food thief (don’t leave food unattended on the benches) I love to cuddle, I sleep well in my crate, I have great recall, I’m great with cats, I do like gentle little dogs, I need slow intro to big dogs and prefer them to be calm and quiet, I’m great (and gentle) with people and kids of all sizes, I’m good at letting you know I need to go out to the toilet, I give the best puppy dog eyes you will ever see, and she loves me to the moon and back.
A condition of our adoption agreement is that all dogs adopted from Chally MUST be put through obedience training, if you cannot meet this commitment please do not apply. All our dogs deserve the chance to be the very best they can be, and we will choose homes that will ensure this is the case.
