About Shadow
SHADOW NEEDS A SPECIAL HOME & LOVING FAMILY! 🐶🏡
🐶Name: Shadow
🐶Gender: Male
🐶Breed: Staffordshire terrier X
🐶Adult size: Medium build
🐶Age: 2 years old
Attention all staffy lovers! 👀👨👩👧👧🖐🏻🤞🏻
Shadow is a very playful, and active pup. He is also super smart, eager to learn and does not let his disability stop him having fun!🐶🎀
Due to a number of big changes in his early life including having his eye removed due to an injury when he was just a puppy, he is still learning to live in the world and has adjusted well to navigating around with just one eye. Shadow has only had basic training and will listen to commands when he has calmed down but is still very much a puppy at heart! He is not a big fan of the other male dogs at the facility but seems unbothered by the female dogs, and simply has not ever been socialized around dogs before so he doesn't know really how to play with them. 🥳🖐🏻
Once Shadow feels comfortable and relaxed, his true personality shines through. He is quite the character and constantly has us in fits of laughter with his funny antics. Shadow deserves a really great home, where he can be loved and re-pay that love with his unconditional staffy dog loyalty. 😉😍🤩
Shadow is affectionate & after his initial excitement to meet you he will happily be next to you for a head scratch or a belly rub. He is a strong medium sized dog, and still is just a pup who’s a bit of a goof ball & wants to frolic so he will need to be with staffy lovers who understand his play. This boy has loads of potential & just wants love with an owner that is committed he will make a great companion!😍🤞🏻🐶
Due to shadow being disabled he would be best suited to a home that will allow him to have indoor/ outdoor access as he truly believes he is human and forms strong bonds with people quickly, he simply loves to be doing what you are doing and was surrendered due to no fault of his own!🐶⭐️

The fist point of contact is to call the animal rehoming officer on 0439357051. We simply ask normal questions about your home life and what sort of lifestyle you can provide for the pet. Once you have had this conversation we usually will book in a meet and greet at the facility.
If the meet greet goes well the rehoming officer will book the animal in at the local vet clinic for their vetwork to be complete. The rehoming officer will then drop the animal off at the clinic that morning and you will be contacted by the vet staff when the animal is ready for collection later that afternoon.
Prior to collecting your animal from the vet you must text through your full name, email, residential address and contact number to the animal rehoming officer.
Your information is then passed onto council staff at the front office and you must complete the microchipping paperwork and also pay the animals adoption fee prior to collecting the animal from the vet. You will complete this paperwork and pay the fee not at the pound but at the Griffith city council office at 1 Benerembah St, Griffith NSW.
