Sweet Hershey!
- Hershey is a lovely happy companion for anyone and her only problem is, she's just too cute!
- Settling in very well into the house on arrival, this very smart little lady learned instruction very quickly, skips joyfully to you when called, and understands the word 'no'.
- Hershey's getting more relaxed about being picked up and cuddled. She's very comfortable with sitting on her carer's legs or being stroked gently while watching tv or reading next to her. She is happy to curl up next to her carer to sleep at night.
- Hershey loves to have a chat - she's delightfully playful and very entertaining to be around. She currently has a multitude of toys - empty toilet rolls, cardboard boxes, soft toys and balls - which she loves to chase around the house. She also likes to chase a dangly snake on a wand. A favourite game is peek-a-boo, hiding behind cushions while her carer pretends not to see her - until she jumps out - so much fun!
- Hershey is also relaxed and happy to be alone (will not suit a household where she is left alone all day), and sits by the window watching out into the garden and enjoying her own company. She's sometimes unsure of loud noises and strangers. Loves her food and is house trained.
- Hershey is untested with other animals and would suit a household with gentle children over the age of 5 years.

SAFE Busselton requests that all persons adopting a cat adhere to responsible containment practices. As per the current Cat Laws in WA we encourage people to keep their rescued cat as a permanent indoor cat or with access to a safe cat run. It is no longer desirable to allow your cat to wander onto adjoining properties. Confident cats can also be trained to walk on a harness and lead. We ask that owners be responsible and keep their adopted cat safe at all times so that you will have a long and loving life together. Information on cat enclosures can be found here: https://safe.org.au/catios
SAFE Busselton reserves the right to select adoptive homes based on ""best fit"" for the pet. Although all applications will be considered, being the first application will not necessarily provide an advantage as the adoption committee considers many factors when matching animals to their new home.
