We would like to introduce Miss Roo to you all. Roo is guaranteed to be your most loyal and happy friend on earth. She is a beautiful pup with stunning markings and will most likely be a little larger med medium sized.

Roo is a Heeler x Staffy blend in the right home will mature into a great girl

Her current weight is 6 kilos island shes a happy healthy puppy.

Roo is a bundle of excited energy and puppy love but is growing into a clever and cuddly little beauty.

Roo arrived at us a slightly underweight and had not had a lot of appropriate human interaction. She can be mouthy but is working out that licks get her more attention than her little puppy teeth.

She has so much potential to be the best dog you have ever met – with lots of love, patience and training she will reward you with the cutest little faces, so many cuddles and the most waggly tail that extends to a waggly body!

She has been fostered with an older dog and a cat and loves them both equally. They have been teaching her to behave and she is learning quickly.

We have socialised her with some trusted dogs and she loves all dogs. She has great social behaviour with other animals. She would love to have a home with another energetic dog.

Inside time/outside time:

Roo is great outside. Does not bark (unless playing), is not scared of noises, does not whimper and is happy to lay around sunning herself. She is great outside by herself and loves a bed (or kennel) to cosy up in. She is starting to understand toys and balls and will throw them around the yard for play. She has not been destructive at all, no digging, no chewing on furniture – she is a good puppy.

Roo has not attempted to run away at all. She will be wherever her humans are.

Inside Roo loves a dog bed or a cuddle on the couch. She is toilet training and has had less accidents each day. You will need to continue her training by putting her outside regularly and praising. She has learnt to sit for food and loves any human food. She greets you at the door like you are a rockstar. She has learnt to come to her name and a whistle (with her little happy wagging body).

Sleeping:

Roo sleeps in a crate in a garage that connects to the house. She settles quickly and sleeps till around 7am.

Car Travel:

Roo has been in the car twice. Both times she settled quickly (on a harness) and did not make a noise. Very easy.

Enrichment:

Roo loves to be around her humans and her animal friends. She craves attention and is very receptive to training and praise. She has a Kong toy, a lick mat and loves peanut butter in both. She has a favourite rubber pig toy which she flicks around and chases, she is very cute. She will need puppy school training to teach her the very best manners.

She has lots of energy so would need a family who are happy to walk a lot or even go for a run. Alternatively, she would need another energetic dog to play with.

Walks:

We have been training Roo on a lead and she is quite good for such a young dog. She doesn’t pull much and will need training to stay on one side of you. Because she is not fully vaxxed yet – she hasn’t been on long walks.

Socialisation:

Roo is very social. We have had lots of visitors to the house and she loves everybody (sometimes too much). We haven’t had her around young children, but because she is still mouthy, we wouldn’t think she would suit a young family.

She is not at all food/treat aggressive. She happily shares food.

She would need to go to an experienced dog owner who can help her continue her training to minimise mouthing and jumping. She doesn’t need a quiet house, she is adaptable and not at all anxious. She even lies still near a vacuum!

Adoption Criteria

A home with a good size yard with secure fencing and plenty of shade and shelter

If another dog in residence ( not a deal breaker) we would be seeking a med to large male who is very well socialised and can handle puppy enthusiasm

If children in the residence we would only consider mature age that are very dog Savvy as Roo is still learning not to be mouthy

Dog Savvy cats are perfectly fine

Roo will need a active home that are prepared to take her to puppy school and continue her training
