About Lexie
Affectionate, polite, intelligent, human orientated, highly trainable girl with solid foundation training. She can read human expressions and responds accordingly.
If Lexie were a cricket player, she’d be an all-rounder! She has a bit of everything you’d ever want in a doggy dog! She has snuggles on the lounge down pat, cuteness galore, bed hog skills are next level, and best of all, she is a really smart, intuitive dog! You’d think her skills would stop there, but no, she smiles with her whole body, conveniently lays on her back for belly rubs, masters at helping you put shoes and socks on and loves to fetch! Sadly, catching the ball isn’t high on her list of skills, but it sure is fun to watch!
But like every all-rounder, she is lacking in some skills. The big outdoors is a bit overwhelming for this fantastic girl. IF she is to be walked her human will need to be willing to work with her as she is highly anxious about other dogs and needs a human who will help her and walk her in quiet places to keep her stress levels down and make walks enjoyable for her. She walks well on a lead, she has the skills; she needs a patient person and time to adjust and gain confidence.
Lexie is well trained. If you want her on the bed, she is there; if not, she will sleep on her bed. She is very name responsive. Welcomes strangers into the house with a bit too much enthusiasm but calms down when offered a treat. Treats are the way with this girl! She loves her food but isn’t food aggressive. She will tell you what time dinner time is, and you’ll never sleep in again as she’ll let you know it's breakfast time too.
She makes an excellent foot warmer and lap dog!
Lexie would prefer her human to be home most of the time so she can follow you around room to room but is OK on her own. She would do well in a quiet home with a yard, with people who can give her plenty of attention and an interesting life. She has good manners, sleeps quietly through the night, is toilet trained and enjoys a comfy spot, a snooze and being near her people. She is very well behaved in the house and very eager to please.
To make Lexie's life as awesome as it should be, she will need to be an only pet unless you’ve got fish. They are great to watch, and fish food is a dog treat, apparently!
Overall, Lexie is a funny, loving, snuggly (sometimes farty!) girl who wants to love you.
