Hi, my name is Zeus, I’m a very handsome boy who sadly needs a new home though no fault of my own. My current owner adopted me from a rescue group a year ago, but sadly they didn’t explain anything about the Staffordshire breed and how needy we can be.
I’m very well behaved, I know how to sit, stay, drop, shake hands, I’m good on the lead, I will go to my bed, but I don’t want to sleep there all night, I like sleeping on my owner’s bed which she doesn’t like, mainly because I really hog the bed. 😂
I haven’t lived with children, I jump up and like all Stafford’s we’re like bricks on 4 legs, so I can knock children over, I would be ok with older children though. I’m not scared of storms or loud noises.
I love going to the park, I’ve been socialised with other dogs, I haven’t been to obedience school, but I’ve had good training so I’m a well behaved dog.
Like many Stafford’s, I get grass allergies, this is mostly seasonal, a good grain free healthy diet will help with my allergies, also my paws need to be kept clean when I’ve walked on grass, I’ve been given cytopoint injections which has helped, I need my ears cleaned so that they don’t get a yeast build up, which is common for most dogs with grass allergies. So, if you can’t or don’t want to keep on top of those two little issues, please don’t apply for me. It’s quite easy to prevent skin allergies, so I hope this doesn’t put people off adopting me. There are no issues with my skin or paws at the moment, but my ears have had a little yeast infection which is currently being treated, this will clear up soon.
I went very well with my behaviour assessment; I was so well behaved that the assessor was surprised! I must admit though I really loved all the treats and cuddles I was getting, which Stafford wouldn’t behave when being offered both of those!
So, if you think you can offer me a good forever home where you’ll be able to give me all the above in return, I will give you all the love and loyalty you could ask for!
Please go to Stafford Rescue Victoria’s website where you will find the Adoption Application.
Please make sure you read all the information on the Adoption page, as well as the links at the bottom.
