About Poppy
With her stunning almond-coloured eyes lighting up in the sun, Poppy likes to connect and create that special friendship. This gal is more than meets the eye; she proves that intelligent, fiercely loyal, and eager-to-please can most definitely be rolled into one gorgeous lady.
With her friendly personality, Poppy likes to share her company at all times. She’s happiest having her humans around and loves cuddles and bottom scratches. Being only 18 months young, Poppy is full of beans and very playful. She loves playing with balls or squeaky toys - it’s too fun to bring them back - and enjoys a beach or adventure day.
Poppy lives with two little kids and is gentle when playing together. She is a regular visitor at the dog park and plays with the larger dogs with equally outgoing and boisterous personalities. Poppy’s ideal home is in a rural environment with space to run and potentially an older male dog that is calm and well socialised. No female dogs, please! She sleeps in a crate at night, and must have an inside and outside area, where she can be close to the family.
Medical notes
Poppy suffers from isolation distress and needs full-time company of some sort to be settled. She needs to be engaged and do a lot of exercise. Poppy is currently on medication as she struggles to be on her own. With the guidance of a Behavioural Vet and the correct placement, Poppy can likely wean off her medication relatively quickly after rehoming and just be managed according to what she needs.

When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s owner - the person who knows them best!
It’s a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
From here, the owner will be in touch with you to chat a bit more about their pet, and if they feel your home is the best fit, they will arrange a ‘meet and greet’ for you all to get to know each other.
Should this prove successful, arrangements will be made for the pet to move straight from its current home into yours upon payment of the adoption fee.
The adoption fee is paid directly to PetRescue (via a secure payment link), and assists us to continue to run and develop programs to assist pet owners, just like Home2Home.
Change of Ownership paperwork will be completed, vetwork history will be provided and your new family member will be snuggled on your couch in no time!
