About Margot
If you look up the word love in the dictionary, it describes everything Margot is known for. Full of love, she has the unique gift to sense when you need some extra comfort. Margot is a small nugget with a big heart who's preferably looking for a home without other pets, so she can soak in all your devoted love.
Margot’s favourite activity is cuddling on the sofa. She’s not attached to any particular toys; she likes to play fetch with them and eventually chews them up. The great thing is that she understands which ones are hers and which ones are from the kids.
Food is the way to Margot’s heart, which is very handy when training, and she now knows a few commands. She’s got an excellent recall and is good on lead. However, she’s not so great at ‘leave it’ if she finds something better on offer (e.g. a kebab on the side of the road, haha).
A typical day consists of lots of relaxing on the sofa/her bed, followed by a sunbaking session and a sniffari in the garden. When you’re around, she enjoys playing a game of fetch or tug of war with you.
Being a little more introverted, Margot is not hugely comfortable around other dogs, especially the ones that don’t match her calm energy level. She connects with the bigger dogs (and her own reflection - check video!) and has a special love for greyhounds.
Margot would love to continue her life of sofa luxury. She’s happy with two daily walks and enjoys a long weekend walk. A trip to the beach is Margot’s idea of heaven, so if you live close, you can give her the happiest time of her life. She doesn’t require a lot of exercise.
Ideally, this little ray of sunshine goes to a household being the only dog, or with a calm and sensible adult dog, and with school-aged kiddos. She loves playing with respectful kids who understand that she can get overwhelmed and rolls over to shower her belly as a defence. Not to forget, a spot for Margot’s sunbaking sessions!
Medical notes
Margot is on a very low dose of anti anxiety tablets as prescribed by the vet, which makes her a bit more comfortable around inanimate objects or loud noises.
Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s owner - the person who knows them best!
It’s a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
From here, the owner will be in touch with you to chat a bit more about their pet, and if they feel your home is the best fit, they will arrange a ‘meet and greet’ for you all to get to know each other.
Should this prove successful, arrangements will be made for the pet to move straight from its current home into yours upon payment of the adoption fee.
The adoption fee is paid directly to PetRescue (via a secure payment link), and assists us to continue to run and develop programs to assist pet owners, just like Home2Home.
Change of Ownership paperwork will be completed, vetwork history will be provided and your new family member will be snuggled on your couch in no time!
