* bonded pair
Pippi and Shelly are a bonded pair and as such, will be adopted together.
Pippi is very snuggly and loving and is always lying on top of dogs or humans whether it be on your head, arm or other body part. As long as she is comfortable she will lie there for ages. She prefers to be in doors at night where she can snuggle up on her bed or snuggle up to her older sister.
Pippi has a very patient personality. It took her fur foster sibling, Jasmine, a little while to warm towards her but Pippi kept going up to her and sniffing Jasmine and trying to engage with her. Pippi finally won Jasmine's trust and now they are great friends. They run around in the back yard along with Pippi's older sister Shelly, playing chasing and tug-of-war with toys. Pippi enjoys being out in the back yard and playing keeps her entertained for ages and helps get rid of some of that energy.
Pippi loves going for walks and gets very excited but settles down quickly. If there are dogs barking behind fences as we walk past she will bark back at them but does not bark at dogs that walk past her foster home. She will need some lead training as she pulls a little bit but otherwise it is an enjoyable walk.
She loves meeting people and gets very excited when we have visitors or meet people in the street. She just wants to say hello even if it's someone who is hopping into their car. Pippi is untested with young children but nothing we have seen would indicate this would be a problem.
Pippi is a delightful loving dog and is no trouble at all. She is a very quiet, gentle and patient dog. When she isn’t running madly in the yard and playing with Shelly she will be having a nap and dreaming of FOOD, her other favourite past-time.
-----
Shelly is a very caring and thoughtful girl. She makes sure her younger sister Pippi does the right thing and if Pippi doesn’t, Shelly will correct her. She prefers to be indoors at night so her sister can snuggle up to her or even lie on her as they have their nap. When we are out walking she always runs over to our dog Jasmine and gives her a lick or 2 as they all enjoy their outing.
Shelly is very loving and looks at you with her beautiful eyes hoping for a pat. If you ignore her she will give you a good ‘nudge’ to remind you she is still waiting. She is learning that pats only happen if she sits and waits patiently. She is a quick learner.
She is very good around our dog Jasmine and always tries to include Jasmine when she and Pippi are playing. She loves running around the back yard chasing Pippi and/or Jasmine and her favourite game is playing tug-of-war with toys. These games in the back yard keep her entertained for ages. It’s also a good way for her to get rid of some of that energy. Due to this, both Pippi and Shelly would be best suited to a home that has a decent yard to play in.
Shelly loves going for walks and gets very excited with her tail wagging the rest of her body. She needs a bit of training to learn to walk without pulling. She really enjoys getting out and exploring the neighbourhood and doesn’t make any fuss when passing houses with other dogs barking at her. She gets on well with other dogs especially when they understand she is the boss lady.
Shelly loves meeting people whether they be visitors or people we pass in the street. She gets quite excited and wants to say hello to everyone and get pats. If people are walking past the house she quietly watches them but once they enter the yard she a will bark to announce their presence. Shelly is untested with young children but nothing we have seen would indicate this would be a problem.
She loves nothing better then hopping onto the couch and hugging her favourite cushion or human. If the cushion isn’t in the right position she will use her paws to grab it and move it to how she wants it. This is just the cutest thing to see.
Shelly is absolutely adorable and no trouble at all. She is a very quiet and gentle dog in a boofhead way. When she isn’t running madly in the yard and playing with Pippi she will be having a nap.
