Whis is very true to her breed- a mix of loving, snuggly staffy and the go-go-go of a working dog! While she may have staffy colouring, her personality is very kelpie/huntaway. She is fostered with three other dogs and loves to play chase and bark at their heels. She can be quite the loudmouth when she wants to be! Whis loves nothing more than to use her furry foster siblings as pillows, curling up on their backs or right next to them. She plays rough with the other puppies but knows the big dogs aren't so keen and takes those cues really well. She is a smart cookie with a big food drive! Her recall is coming along very well and with further training she will be a great dog for offleash hikes and outings.
Whis is set to become a very active dog, so would love a family who takes her out to places with them and keeps on the go. A family with children would be great so she has people to play with. Ideally, a house with other animals would be her choice- she would likely do well with livestock and cats given proper training, and does very well with other dogs. It is non negotiable that her new family keep up with training, ideally going to a weekly dog club, or at least have experience with training an active dog. She is very eager to please so should be a pleasure to work with!
Whis loves a snuggle on the couch and watching TV- her favourite is listening to birds whistle on nature programs, she has got a fantastic head tilt!
Whis is about 85% toilet trained, and as long as she has access to outside via door or dog door, she can make it outside most of the time- as she is a puppy, some accidents are expected. She does have a penchant for electrical cords so care must be taken that these are put out of her line of sight.
She will make a great friend for the right family- could this be you?
