PROFILE, PERSONALITY, AND NEEDS IN DAVEY'S NEW HOME
If you want handsome and adorable, here I am!! Davey with the coat of many colours here!
I am a young man of about 9 months of age and I am busting to tell you why YOU will not regret adopting me!
My foster carer cannot believe that I have not been snapped up by now as she says I am such a well rounded pupstar?
Firstly, I am energetic and playful and would love a home where we can share adventures – hopefully with another fur sibling to show me the ropes. Then when we are worn out, we can all snuggle up together in front of the tele. I would hate to accidentally knock over any small humans so older siblings would be better.
Also, I LOVE to play with other pups and chase them and learn about what to do with those fuzzy tennis balls. I am also a sucker for a pool or puddle of water and access to a beach or lake would be AMAZING!
I have been going to a thing called doggy day care with my foster brother Nicky for about 8 weeks now and just love it sooo much, it is such a blast! I get to play with other doggies and of course get lots of love and attention from the staff there as they naturally cannot resist my love bug ways:) I would love a home where I could continue to go to doggy day care occasionally but this is not essential.
Check out the video of all the fun I have at doggy day care.
A lovely lady by the name of Tahnee visited all the dogs at day care last week and brought some yummy treats. It was lots of fun dressing up and of course my model good looks made it easy for Tahnee to take wonderful photos of me!!
Now to food. There is something you really need to know and I hope it is not a deal breaker... I HATE PEAS and will spit them right back at you! Now, give me a strawberry or an apple and that is a different story.
Just to add to all the wonderful things about me – I like cats! (please don’t spread that around) so if your cats would tolerate me, that would work.
I am pretty smart (even if I do say so myself), and every day I understand more about what you want from me. I love to be inside with my family and nice warm place to sleep, that is why I am being such a good boy.
If you work and don’t have a furry friend for me to play with, I would love to have you work from home so you can spend time with me so I don’t get lonely on my own. My foster brother, Nico goes to a place that my foster mum calls doggy daycare and he tells me it is lots of fun and he gets to socialise and play with lots of other doggos and sounds like something I would really enjoy when I am old enough.
If you love adventure, look no further. I will always try to be the best boy I can but I just need a wonderful family like YOU to make my dreams come true.
What are you waiting for? I AM READY!! Love Davey. xx
Basic needs in Davey's new home:-
Preferably go to a home with a younger medium/large gentle friendly well-adjusted canine friend who will be a good role model for him and who can romp and play with him.
Davey must be allowed inside at all times and be permitted to sleep inside in a warm area at night and cuddle on the couch.
We are looking for adopters who are looking for a dog to truly be part of the family, access inside, daily adventures and exercise, mental stimulation, supervised socialisation with other dogs and people outside of the home, force-free training, and of course lots of love and attention! So a home where adopters are not away from home for long periods and have the time for continued training is a must.
It’s also super important that adoptive families are committed to ongoing consistent training really for the first 18 months and beyond is also very important. Davey will grow into a large breed boy so it is very important that he grows into an awesome doggy citizen and an advocate for rescued dogs.
If you would like to meet Davey please send us as much detail as possible on yourself and the home you are able to provide including your location, contact number, your other pets (if any), family members, lifestyle, exercise, and mental stimulation you will provide, how often Davey would be alone, where he will have access in the home, where Davey would go if you went away and could not take him with you, ability to cover vet expenses and any other information you wish to provide.
Medical notes
Davey has been vet checked, microchipped, and is on flea and worm treatment and has had his first and second vaccination and will receive his third vaccination before he goes on trial.
Davey is too young to be desexed and will be desexed when he is more mature and in consultation with our rescue vet at Beverly Hills Animal Hospital. The cost of desexing is included in the cost of the adoption fee if the desexing is carried out at our rescue vet as noted above
