About Banjo 🧸
Banjo is our 18wk old Maremma puppy who is an absolute bundle of cuteness! This little guys forever home has unfortunately not worked out 😢….He is playful, loyal and super affectionate 🥰 He loves a cuddle and belly rubs are a must! While he enjoys a good run, he also loves to snuggle with his people. He has been living alongside other dogs and cats in his foster home and just loves everyone.
We will be looking for a specific home to suit his needs, temperament and abilities. Please do your research before applying and understand that these dogs are NOT suitable for units/apartments and suburban homes.
The Maremma Sheepdog is known for their loyalty. They love their human and animal family members and always looking to protect them, making them ideal watchdogs for both livestock and family homes. They are independent thinkers. They aren’t aggressive, but given their watchdog mentality, they aren’t very fond of strangers. With proper socialisation from a young age, your Maremma can warm up to having new people in their homes.
These dogs are classified as ‘working dogs’ and like to have a purpose and job to do. They are busybodies and need a task to complete, or they will find one, which may lead to destructive behaviour. Mental stimulation is a MUST for this breed.
Because of their independent thinking, they can be difficult to train. They are used to living their life with little to no direction from humans. Because of this they can have quite a streak of stubbornness.
This little man will need regular grooming to keep his long course fur tangle free. They shed twice yearly to allow them to transition into their Summer and Winter coats, so be prepared!
Banjo is located in Berkeley Vale on the Central Coast and ready for adoption now 🥰

Adoption details
If you would like to express interest in adopting, we ask that you send through some info about yourself, your family and home, if you rent or own (rental agreement required if renting and rates notice required if you own) and what you can offer this gorgeous baby. Our aim is to find the best homes for our babies, not necessarily first in best dressed, so a good detailed application will make you stand out from the rest.
Once we have received your email outlining the above, those who we feel may be suitable, will be sent an Adoption Questionnaire to complete. Your enquiry will then be passed onto the appropriate carer and successful applicants will be contacted via phone.
