This is Strachan. He's a super smart, happy, playful young kelpie x border collie mix. He is a very confident boy with so much love, character and personality.

Strachan has fitted in to his foster family like a champ. Routine and guidance from the resident kelpie has given Strachan a wonderful start and he loves following her lead, whether that's through play, exploring or just learning how to switch off, it has really
helped his development and confidence. For this reason we would ideally like to find a home with an existing social female dog. Strachan's favourite thing is his toybox, he is better than most human kids at finding his chosen toy, having a play then putting it back before getting another. He is definitely one the smartest dogs around.

In Strachan's foster home he has two teenage boys to play and cuddle with. He loves to play ball, tug, hide and seek but most of all snuggling when he is tired. He is still learning to be calm and not jump up so dog savvy children over 10 are best for him.
He loves being included in our daily adventures, school runs, walks, meeting new friends.

He thrives off learning, further obedience training will be a must. Being a kelpie x border collie, Strachan's intelligence and enthusiasm will require an experienced owner. He will be one very loyal companion given all the love and guidance he deserves. Strachan is fully crate trained, doing amazing with basic obedience, lead training and is completely toilet trained.

Strachan's new family will need to have a clear understanding of his breed requirements and a commitment to continue his training and socialisation. Above all a loving home where he will be part of the family.
