About Bodhi ~ 4mo AmStaff(On Trial 13/10/22)
G’day! My name is Bodhi and I’m ready to be your bestest buddy ever! I am only 16 weeks old, and I think I am an American Staffordshire Terrier.
I have been learning lots of new things, thanks to my Foster Carers. They now believe I am ready to find my furever home while I am still young so my new family and I can learn to live with each other.
What can I tell you about myself that will make you love me? Where do I start? I am very handsome with some really cool orange stripes in my black coat. I am really smart and learn new things very quickly; so my foster parents reckon. I am very affectionate. I promise to kiss and cuddle my new people. I promise to keep you warm and safe. I promise I will let you know I love you madly, every day.
I promise I will appreciate your cooking…I mean really appreciate it and never criticise you. I love food so much I tend to eat very quickly. I have a new fancy bowl that slows me down. I am learning to sit and wait for my meals but it is soooo hard. I am trying.
I can’t promise I won’t wee in your house just yet, but I can definitely promise I am trying my very best to get the toilet training right. I am nearly there! By the time I meet you, I reckon I will have that sorted.
Oh, I can’t promise your socks will be entirely safe, but I will try to behave myself.
I promise I won’t chase the birds in the yard, but I have never met a cat – not too sure what a cat is, so no promises just yet. But I am a really timid and easy going pup, so my carers think, with a slow introduction, a cat could be a new friend too.
Sometimes I knock into things when I am playing. My carers tell me that is okay because that is what a baby dog my size does. I tell them they shouldn’t have left it there in the first place! I love to play! Will you play with me? If you have another dog in the family I promise I will play nicely with them too. I may be a bit too clumsy for babies and toddlers but I reckon a young family would be fun to be part of.
I have been exploring with my carers and they said really good things about me behaving in public. I love meeting new people and dogs. How exciting is that? Do you love meeting new dogs too? I don’t yell at any dogs or people walking past. I do have manners! I don’t mind having to be on a leash, but it is a very new experience for me, so I need practice to get better at it before I get too big.
One day soon, I am going to be a big boy. My foster mum reckons she can see me growing bigger every day. Now is the time to find my new family. Don’t you agree? Are we meant to grow up together?
