About Sam
Adoption Requirements:
- Indoors Only
- Children Considered
- No Other Pets
Meet Sam. Originally adopted from the RSPCA in 2022, you may recognise him under a different name, Gareth. Sam has been returned to the shelter due to owner health and finds himself looking for his forever family once again.
Originally, Sam was brought to us in pretty bad shape, suspected of being hit by a car (or suffering from another traumatic injury), he's been through the wars and come out the other side mostly unscathed. Sam has made an excellent recovery since his accident and is incredibly sweet, high-functioning and mobile with quite a personality! He's a fairly relaxed cat these days, and enjoys sitting comfortably by his people most days, occasionally asking for pats when he wants them. Due to his previous trauma, he can still be quite head shy, and occasionally nervous to touch; we don't encourage trying to force love and affection onto Sam if he doesn't want it, as he's pretty happy to tell you when to bugger off!
Sam is a lovely cat and will do well in a home that has experience with cats. He appreciates time to himself but will also come to you for pats, snuggles, and food (oh he loooves his food!). He will chirp at you in greeting and gaze at you lovingly with his big, beautiful eyes. He loves a chin scratch and a pat but loves more than anything to spend most of his time sitting beside you, or chilling under your desk (hint: he'd be perfect for someone who works from home). He will need to be an only cat from here on out as he's not too keen on other animals, and could possibly live with sensible children.
