About Toby
Please only apply for this greyhound if you have:
- A home with lots of love to give this beautiful boy
- Children over the age of 12
Toby is a gorgeous boy who is also a very loving and affectionate companion! He will happily take a spot next to you on the couch or bed given the chance. Toby absolutely adores his humans and would suit best being a solo dog however we think he may also cope well having a greyhound sibling.
Toby walks very well on a lead and very rarely pulls! He is currently getting a 20 minute walk in the morning and also the afternoon however is also content with just one walk on some days. Toby won't pay much attention to other dogs on his walks provided they are a distance away and is generally good with large dogs, however, he is still learning about the little ones so will definitely benefit from further doggie socialisation and also having a confident owner who will show him the way!
Toby loves his squeaky toys, they are a must for him and his favourite hobby is to bounce around with them first thing in the morning. He jumps in and out of the car himself with no issues and is a very easy traveller as he will just lie down and sleep for the duration of the car ride. Toby does get a little overwhelmed with busy and noisy environments (i.e busy streets, loud cars) but doesn't act frantically when this happens, instead he just hugs to your side and follows you closely.
Toby is fine being left home alone for long periods as long as he has been feed and walked. He does prefer it if you leave him alone when he's in deep sleep and when it's late at night as he tends to have a bit of sleep startle. As Toby is a playful & bouncy boy who at times forgets his own size therefore we think he will be best suited to a couple or a family with children over the age of 12.
Toby is an affectionate boy who is loved by all and we can't wait for him to live a cuddle-filled life with you!
[Note: Under Victorian Law greyhounds must be on-leash at all times in public areas, including in off-leash parks or ovals]
