About Ben
Introducing Ben: a 10 yr old cream Kelpie x looking for his forever home.
Ben has previously lived on a farm with 5 other dogs. Although he was initially a bit tentative in foster care in suburbia, his confidence has grown in leaps and bounds. Ben is happiest hanging out with or near his people - he loves pats but will also happily nap where he can keep an eye on his foster family.
Ben gets along well with all other dogs and enjoys saying hello on walks but has not shown a lot of interest in playing with the resident dog. Ben would be happy living with another dog of a similar age or energy level (low) or as an only dog with people who are home more often than not.
Ben enjoys a gentle daily walk. He walks beautifully on lead and has excellent recall off lead, never straying too far from his person, he is great company on walks. Ben is still unsure about traffic and busy roads so is best suited to a home where he can walk with his people in a quiet area with no roads to cross. Ben travels beautifully in the car.
Ben has spent time inside getting cuddles as he has become more confident but has shown a preference for sleeping outside - he sleeps on his bed in a sheltered spot right outside the back door where he can see what his foster family are doing inside. He has also slept well in a crate.
Ben has been great with the resident cat. He has been in foster care with kids aged 10 and over and loves cuddles with them. As Ben is still unsure around sudden movements and loud noises, he would be best suited to a home with older kids who can understand his needs.
If you are looking for a new furry family member who is gentle, well mannered, loyal and all about company and cuddles - Ben’s your boy.
**Ben is located in VIC.....

We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa.
