Gus

Gus is a confident, playful, highly intelligent and trainable 13 week old kelpie x lab x staffy. He isn't always interested in chasing the ball, but will crouch and stalk our other dog when she chases the ball, before pouncing! He likes to collect a little pile of toys and lies on them while chewing his favourite -- but he isn't protective of them, and you can easily get them off him.
Gus loves to go on walks and is very easy to walk off-lead, although sometimes he gets underfoot. His recall isn't prefect yet, but he never ventures far away and is easy to get back on-lead. He would like a walk every day, but can get by with plenty of wrestling and games of tug-of-war instead if it's rainy.
Gus isn't generally allowed on the couch here, but he is very smoochy and loves a cuddle on your lap if he's invited.
Gus loves food -- he shoulda been called Guts! He sits for his food, but doesn't stay yet. His entire little body wiggles with excitement and he just can't help himself! He currently eats several small portions per day, rather than 1 bigger meal, and we use a slow feeder mat or tumble treat ball to discourage him from scoffing his food too quickly. He also has been known to knock over pot plants and have a good chew on the potting mix. He's pretty good with not chewing our things, but he's not perfect, so Gus is crated overnight.
