About Floss
Meet Floss!
Floss is a female Staffy x who is approx 2 and a half years old. This lovely girl is looking for a home who can dish out as much love as she gives! Floss is a medium sized girl who is quite strong so will need a home able to handle a stronger dog. Floss walks better on a harness. She is a real sweet heart who can be easily excitable at first but does settle down quickly. She has some good basic training and obedience and is able to sit, shake and come when called.
Floss has been in a home with children and has been good around them. Floss has been in a home with children and has been good around them. Because of her strength, excitement level and size, she would be best suited to a home with children over 10 years old.
Floss has been tested with other animals while here at SMART. She has shown to be ok with more quiet submissive dogs but doesn't not get along with dogs that challenge her. If you have a dog/dogs, a meet and greet would be essential. She has shown interest in cats and will possibly chase if the cat was to run but didn't show any aggressiveness towards them when looking at them.
Floss has been desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, worm and flea treated and vet checked. Please submit an adoption application if Floss sounds like your perfect girl!
Medical notes
While in care, Floss has had some intermittent nasal discharge. We have explored the reasons behind this and treated with a long course of antibiotics with no improvement. Floss has undergone further examination and testing. X-rays showed no abnormalities or foreign objects within the nasal passages. Swabs were also taken for fungal culture which came back negative. Vet recommendation is for further imaging (ie CT Scan) if no improvement.
Otherwise, Floss is in good health and passed her medical examination.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
