Hi I’m Lulu 👋
Im a very sweet natured gal looking for loving new owners who are going to give me all the pats and belly rubs I could dream of😍
My new family must:
- Take me on regular daily walks with me and/or run around with me in the backyard
- Get me extra durable chew toys as I will destroy anything less (as noted below Lulu is a very good girl and does not chew anything other than her dog toys)
- Lulu must be allowed to be inside when you are home as she definitely prefers to be inside rather than out
Inside:
My foster parents say I’m the best behaved girl inside. I’ve had no accidents and have not chewed anything apart from my dog toys. When I’m inside I have very good listening skills and understand no and out of the kitchen/bathroom. I even sit and wait for my food and when it’s time to go for a walk I will sit at the front mat waiting for you!
In the evenings Lulu likes to watch tv with her foster family. We can tell she has her eye on the couch and would love to jump up and snuggle if her new family allows her to but if not she will happily sit on her dog bed in the lounge so long as she’s near her humans she’s not too fussed.
At night Lulu sleeps on her dog bed in her foster family’s bedroom (if her new family wants a dog to sleep on the bed we think she would be all about that too). She’s excellent at sleeping through the night and even enjoys a bit of a sleep in on the weekend.
She rarely barks unless she is excited by someone knocking on the door or if she thinks she has heard someone walk into the yard. Whilst she is extremely loveable her bark would make a great guard dog as well.
Lulu is an all round good dog and would suit a variety of different lifestyles. She loves attention so would do well with someone home all the time however she has been fine being left out in the yard during the day when we are out at work (She will sook a bit when you leave tho). We have also left Lulu inside for a few hours on her own and she has been fine. If you have a doggy door she would probably be okay to be left inside while you are out for longer periods.
Walks:
On my walks my listening skills aren’t as great as how I am when I’m inside. I have come along way with walking and 90% of the time I am walking great on the lead. I do get a bit excited when I pass another dog or people and will try to pull you over to them so we can greet them but with ongoing training I’m sure I will continue to get better and better :)
Dogs:
Lulu has been living as an only dog in foster care we think she would go okay with another dog tho. She has a friendly greyhound friend that she has been on a long walk with she did really well with but insisted on sniffing him a lot. She has met a variety of other dogs on her walks as well. She does get excited but we think with a calm dog who has experience meeting new dogs they would be okay.
Cats:
Lulu is untested with cats. We believe she would be okay with a careful and slow introduction as she has walked passed cats and birds on her walks and has been not phased by them.
Children:
Lulu hasn’t had kid experience during foster care, apart from waking past kids on her daily walks. We aren’t too sure but think if your child has experience with larger dogs it should be okay.
Lulu is an absolutely beautiful girl and would make an amazing companion to someone who can provide her with lots of love and daily walks to burn up her energy!
