Louie

Hi, I'm Louie. I'm a petite 9 month old male border collie who loves to snuggle with my people.

I would suit a family with young children or a senior person as I'm very calm and gentle and I don't get underfoot or over excited and I am happy to share food and toys with anyone. I love to be inside laying on the couch with the family going about life around me and don't react to busyness of a family home. A home with another dog of any size would be a bonus as I love to play.

I'm a very calm boy who is not very confident in new situations but willing to try anything for a kind word and cuddle from my people. My foster family has 4 children under 10 years and 4 other dogs and I love to be involved in play with little people and dogs but can be a bit shy with adults at first.

I have been exposed to the big farm that my foster family works on but find I prefer the security of the smaller rural property where they live with a couple acres to explore with the other dogs. I love going on walks with the security of the lead and my people guiding me exploring new sights and sounds.

I have very basic training and I am learning my new commands slowly but I need patience because I worry that I'm in trouble and get nervous, so need time to trust my people before I can do training exercises. I am still working on toilet training, but otherwise I am great inside, and good with farm fences or quiet being in dog run.
