Shayla is a small dog with a big personality... little miss sassy is this wee girl!
Shayla has the most adorable nature and isn't afraid to show it. She gets on great with other dogs and loves her big foster brother and sister pooches. She also enjoys the company of the young child in her foster family.
Shayla loves adventuring around the yard, checking out everything in it. Chihuahua type dogs are busy bodies; they're active dogs who do require regular exercise and stimulation to keep them happy. She will also require a home where she's not left on her own. Shayla does not do well if left alone. This may improve over time as she matures, but especially during the first few months of settling in to her new home and while she's so young, she requires a home where someone is home most of the time.
Shayla is learning that her crate = sleep and also her space to just chill out in if she feels like it. A reminder to anyone considering adopting a pup, that puppies will need active toilet training, taking outside after meals and waking up, and praising when they 'go' outdoors. Puppies may have accidents up to a few months old as it takes time to get full control of their bladders. They also require ongoing socialisation with new dogs, people and environments to maintain that puppy friendliness and confidence into adulthood. Shayla, like any pup, likes a chew and will require chew toys.
Shayla is adorable inside and out. This social butterfly will make a great addition to a loving, active family.
