About Bailey
Just over a year ago Bailey become part of our Socares family after being left and forgotten in a backyard with little interaction or TLC by his owner.
During the past year Bailey has undergone an amazing transformation while in the loving hands of his dedicated Foster Carer Tegan. Tegan feels Bailey is now adoption ready.
This is Tegan’s feedback about gorgeous Bailey:
Bailey is an incredibly sweet natured, lovable and sensitive boy. He loves everyone he meets and absolutely loves cuddles and attention. His time in foster care has shown how much of a beautiful boy he really is.
Bailey is incredibly loyal and will always keep an eye on his humans while around the house. He is always interested in getting attention and steals all the pats he can get. He will gladly cuddle with you all day long, and if you stop patting him, he will nudge your hand to keep going.
At Bailey’s foster home, he is very well house trained and lets himself through the doggy door to use the bathroom and paws the door to tell us he needs to go outside. He can also be left at home by himself with no issues.
Bailey has undergone training with Adrien from Social Dog Academy working on his obedience, recall and socialising with other dogs. As a result, Bailey is a very loyal, obedient dog and is very food motivated. It would be great if his future owner/s continued with the amazing work already invested into Bailey.
Bailey loves playing with his toys, his favourite being any soft toy he can curl up to. He really is a big sook!
I’ve fallen for his cuteness and consequently allow him to sleep on my bed where he loves to cuddle close and knows “up” and “off”. Bailey knows many other commands like; on your bed, sit, stay, leave it, outside and okay. His favourite time of the day is as soon as his humans wake up so he can crawl up close next to them in bed and enjoy lots of pats before they get up.
Bailey is an incredibly sensitive boy who feels his humans’ emotions strongly and can get anxious when they do. He shows this by chasing his tail and panting but settles by himself or when comforted. He will also chase his tail when he has too much energy of any kind, whether he’s excited, hasn’t had a walk or when there’s loud sounds like the blender.
Bailey loves his walks and through his training, now has good lead manners. Once he’s been for some exercise, Bailey will happily sleep the rest of the day.
Bailey is a stunning American Staffy X boy and his foster carer is located close to our Erina Shelter. Bailey’s $200 adoption fee covers microchipping, desexing, lifetime registration, current vaccination, flea and worming treatments.
Bailey would suit a mature person and someone who is home more often than not. Bailey requires daily exercise to help with his anxiety and to keep him fit. At this stage until Bailey settles into his new home environment, we are recommending a home without other pets.
If you have a place in your heart and home for a dedicated loyal mate to share your day with, we would love to hear from you. Please lodge your adoption interest online.
