Malcolm

Every cat has a story. Malcolm's not telling his, but we can guess.

We know from this boy's beautiful manners, placid nature and fondness for humans that he came from a loving home where he was cherished and well nourished.

Speaking of "well nourished", Malcolm is a big cat. There's 5.5 kgs of him to love and caress. And he likes to place his considerable feline bulk on your lap and snooze, in between purrs and petting.

Covering his generous body is an incredibly dense coat of apricot and white. He really is handsome fellow.

Malcolm is completely unphased by other cats, including the two grumpy females that hissed at him when he was posing for these photographs. He just ignored them and purred approvingly at his foster mum, who also happens to be the photographer.

Malcolm is child-friendly and enjoys the petting lavished on him by his foster mum's two children.

He's had no exposure to dogs since being in care, but we're guessing he'd take canines in his stride.

Malcolm is desexed, vaccinated and microchipped. He's also flea and worm treated.

His ideal home is with a cat lover who wants a close companion. Given the chance, he'd be at your side all day - or more probably on your lap.

Malcolm's adoption fee is $250. He lives inside exclusively and is litter-trained.

He lives in Warwick, Qld in a private foster home.
