About Nina
Nina is a young lady still working on her confidence around people. Nina came into care via a hoarding case, there were many cats on the property that has shown little social interactions with people. Nina can be easily overwhelmed but has a quick recovery time, especially when yummy treats/chicken is involved!
Her new owner will need to understand Nina will likely be quite fearful and take time to adjust, settle and gain confidence in her new home.
Nina must be started in a small area and be allowed time to settle prior to allowing her to explore the rest of the house as she can become easily overwhelmed in large open spaces.
To show Nina that all humans offer love and attention, her new adopter must spend as much time with her as possible, making sure to offer lots of slow blinks and talking softly with her, offering small amounts of wet food or chicken or similar, and actively engaging with Nina with touch and gentle handling.
Once Nina feels comfortable, she will begin to solicit gentle attention, bunting, leaning into attention and purring.
Nina would do best in a mature household and she would benefit going home with a confidence, social kitty to help show her that the world is not such a scary place!
