About Doogie
Meet our handsome “Doogie”
Doogie is a gorgeous lovable boy, he has been a joy to have around in his foster home. He loves to sprawl out on the lounge next to you so you can pat him or comb his fur. Doogie likes to follow you around and be with you as much as possible. He will make a wonderful little companion dog for someone that is home a lot. He loves going for walks, rides in the car, chasing his ball, and doing some zoomies in the yard.
Doogie isn’t the biggest fan of other dogs, can be cheeky with cats at times, but is great with people. He has learnt a number of commands in care such as sit, wait for food, is crate trained and has been learning toilet training.
A condition of our adoption agreement is that all dogs adopted from Chally MUST be put through obedience training, if you cannot meet this commitment please do not apply. All our dogs deserve the chance to be the very best they can be, and we will choose homes that will ensure this is the case.
IF YOU CAN TICK ALL THE BELOW BOXES, PLEASE POP IN AN ADOPTION APPLICATION FOR US TO CONSIDER.
• You have a secure yard
• Doogie will not be alone for more than 4hrs
• You will allow Doogie to be part of the family and will allow him access to indoors.
• You WILL enrol him in obedience training
• You WILL provide him with daily exercise AND mental stimulation.
Applications with extensive details on the lifestyle you will offer will be considered. Please include the name of the obedience school you will be taking him to.
PLEAS NOTE: if you provide basic details only, we will be unable to process your application sorry.
Adoption details
All forms (including foster and adoption) can be found at the following link:
http://www.challyanimalrescue.org.au/adopt.php
** Only applications submitted via this link will be considered **
Our adoption process is as follows:
1) Animal is listed on PetRescue
2) Applications are received
3) The application which we feel offers the best-suited home to the pet is contacted for first preference of a meet and greet to see if they 'click' with the animal.
We do not follow a first-in, first-served process and only consider applications completed via our online form.
Due the popularity of some dogs - and the fact that our rescue is run entirely by volunteers - we cannot guarantee that all unsuccessful applicants will be notified, however we will do our best.
