Jake

Jake is a high energy Chihuahua who loves people (when he gets to know them) and small dogs. He can can get intimidated by larger dogs and is not a suitable friend for them. He has a very high play drive, whether it's chasing a ball, wrestling a toy or running zoomies with other dogs. Jake has been working on house training and crate training and is making great strides, further work with plenty of food rewards will help him to master these skills. At the end of a play session, Jake loves a cuddle and a snooze, snoring is compulsory. Jake can get defensive if he feels threatened or doesn't understand why he is being stopped (eg. from chasing a cat), but is immediately sorry for cracking the sads. Jake requires lots of positive reinforcement for doing the right thing, and a calm correction for doing the wrong thing.

We are looking for a Chihuahua savvy home for Jake, you need to understand the breed and all they come with. Be that love and cuddles or cranky pants time.

A condition of our adoption agreement is that all dogs adopted from Chally MUST be put through obedience training, if you cannot meet this commitment please do not apply. All our dogs deserve the chance to be the very best they can be, and we will choose homes that will ensure this is the case.

• You have a secure yard
• Jake will not be alone for more than 4hrs
• You will allow Jake to be part of the family and will allow him access to indoors.
• You WILL enrol him in obedience training
• You WILL provide him with daily exercise AND mental stimulation.
