About Charlie
Are you searching for your 'other half'? Are you looking for your ‘shadow’?
Perhaps a Labradoodle who will follow you everywhere you go?
Charlie is a beautiful gentle just shy 10 year old Labradoodle who loves to be around his humans, he is quiet, calm and loving.
Charlie is looking for that family / person who will love that and more!
Charlie is the ultimate shadow to his human companions - he is a very quiet well behaved boy who does suffer some anxiety if left for periods of time home alone. Charlie does have the sweetest temperament and is a lovely boy.
Charlie did take a few days to settle in to his foster home and we would advise that this could also happen at his new home – we would need someone who would happily show him love but also give him the time to adjust.
Charlie is most happy when being near his humans – they can be working, reading, folding the washing and he is happy to just be near – either watching or snoozing. He loves to sleep on a dog bed in a humans’ room – either kids or adults – it makes him happy and who could say no to this gorgeous face.
Charlie loves his food – and as such the rescue has been working with him to lose some weight – Charlie is loving his daily walks and will do a dance when he knows its walk time. We are looking for a family who will continue to help Charlie with his weight loss.
Charlie is still learning that not every piece of food in the house is his and will give you the biggest puppy eyes for food – he can also be a bit of a land shark when offered food from your fingers so we would be recommending no kids to offer him snacks.
Charlie has also had a dental scale and polish and is now happy to show off his smile.
Charlie is currently in care with other dogs but would be very happy being an only furchild or with another calm quiet dog who can match his pace – some days play other days relax.
Charlie has not been tested with cats but as his foster mum says nothing really seems to bother him so he should be fine with cats as well
Charlie is house trained.
Charlie is great with kids and currently lives with some – they have nicknamed him Charlie Bear (just like a teddy bear).
Charlie’s idea home would be with people who were home more often than not and could take him on a few walks a day and even some days a jog. He is currently on some acreage and is getting braver each day around the dam – now going into the top of his legs lol!
Charlie will also have selective hearing from time to time but that’s just because he is wanting to take his time exploring and sniffing everything but when you see him happy and enjoying life - how could you refuse?
Charlie has a typical labradoodles coat and does require regular grooming and brushing.

Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
The rescue group has removed this pet and it is no longer available for adoption.
