About Oakey
As you can see, Oakey is absolutely adorable! Can’t you imagine yourself patting that gorgeous wavy fur? Can’t you picture Oakey cuddled up on the couch with you? Can’t you picture him by your side while you do a spot of gardening or take a stroll around the block? Oakey sure can!
This happy older pupper loves tennis balls and adores his little sheep toy. Who says he can’t be a sheepdog! Oakey loves cuddles and playtime but is also a big fan of naps. He loves his beds as much as his toys and enjoys sunbaking in the garden or picking out a breezy spot to watch the world go by around him.
Oakey isn’t scared of changes and is excited about his next adventure. He enjoys the company of other friendly dogs and cats. Oakey has also lived with children and does enjoy the extra cuddles, but being an older chap looking for a relaxed home Oakey would love any tiny humans to be kind and gentle.

Oakey is happy and healthy and would love an owner who will continue to help him live his best life as he ages. He has a mild heart murmur and mild arthritis - neither of which currently require medication, but this may change with time. Like most dogs of his age and breed, Oakey will benefit from an annual vet check-up and teeth clean.

It’s a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
From here, the owner will be in touch with you to chat a bit more about their pet, and if they feel your home is the best fit, they will arrange a ‘meet and greet’ for you all to get to know each other.
Should this prove successful, arrangements will be made for the pet to move straight from its current home into yours upon payment of the adoption fee.
The adoption fee is paid directly to PetRescue (via a secure payment link), and assists us to continue to run and develop programs to assist pet owners, just like Home2Home.
Change of Ownership paperwork will be completed, vetwork history will be provided and your new family member will be snuggled on your couch in no time!
