About Ruby Red
*Red will need a male, sociable and confident dog to live with*
Miss Red arrived very shy and overwhelmed, and was very unwilling to interact with anyone, preferring to hide away somewhere she felt safe.
She will need a calm home who is patient and willing to coax her out into the world. She would prefer a home without any young children and would be happy with another medium/large dog who can match her boisterous play style and continue teaching her some manners and social skills.
Ruby Red will retreat into her shell initially and will need a safe space/room while she gets her confidence, but once she understands you are the trustworthy provider of all things good, you will have a Velcro buddy for life!
She has made herself very comfortable in her current foster home and is adjusting very well to house living. Red has developed a taste for the finer things in life, these so far include (but is not limited to), beds, lots of fun toys to chew (hide your pot plants), cheese, bread crusts and cuddling on the couch.
Ruby Red is a very curious girl and loves to sniff and explore everything she has access to. She has some very basic life skills and is getting the hang of toilet training. She would enjoy a home where she can continue learning the basics and beyond and can give her enrichment to keep her mind at work and her out of mischief; because she will get up to it!
Red is ready to find her forever home who will help this gorgeous klutz of a goofball be the happiest and best dog she can be!
**Application Process** If you are interested in this pet and ready to adopt now, please send in an application to the SCAR Adoption Team. On the Pet Rescue profile, push the "Enquire About This Pet" button. Follow the prompts to "send enquiry now" and in the message section please tell us all about you and your home. Ensure you tell us about anything specific that you feel makes you a great match for this particular pet, or if you have specific requirements for a pet coming in to your home. The information you provide helps us to start a conversation with potential adopters, and find a great match for pets in our care. Please note the following: We do not take applications for animals over the phone, as we are a small team and are trying our best to be fair to all applicants while creating the best outcomes for our animals. We aim to reply to all applications within 5 business days, and will confirm with all applicants once we have an adoption meet booked for the animal. All of our meet and greets occur at the adoption center in Craigieburn, and all going well you will take home your pet on the day of the meet. The majority of our animals are in a foster home, not at the shelter, so you need to apply via the website to meet themd
