💜 Special Case September 💜
Take just one or take us both, we're full of potential and ready for growth. 🎵
Are you ready for this much gorgeous-ness?
I swear, cats this handsome just shouldn't be allowed.
Zeb and Zion are a couple of guys who came from pretty rough beginnings.
Many cats were rescued from a property that has now been demolished - food was scarce, the environment was dirty and unsafe and generally no place for any animal to live.
Among them were these stunning boys who look more like catwalk models than street cats!
Now, you probably know where we're going with this... after such a hard start, these boys are still uncertain with people.
Missing out on love, handling and safety in their early life means that although they really want to be your friends, they need time and patience and understanding.
Quiet homes with people who are keen to work with them but won't be overly demanding, are exactly what they're after.
Both boys love the company of other cats, especially Zion (the floofmeister). They are good buddies with each other but will be just as likely to bond to other social cats - in fact introducing them to other, more confident, kitties could be really beneficial.
They could love in homes with dogs who are willing to respect their personal space.
Little kids are not their cup of tea, mature homes are the way to go.
Both Zeb and Zion seem to be pretty lazy/chill dudes. Zeb can get a bit excitable sometimes and once they're settled somewhere, we hope they can learn to play.
But they're fairly content to snooze the day away in a cosy spot.
These boys are not high maintenance - Zion even keeps his glorious coat pretty clean all on his own (though grooming could offer great opportunities to bond with him).
Zeb has tested positive for FIV but Zion is negative.
There's more info on FIV here:
https://www.petrescue.com.au/library/articles/caring-for-cats-with-feline-immunodeficiency-virus-fiv
Both boys have now had all the regular stuff done - they're desexed, microchipped vaccinated.
We think they're around 3-4 years of age.
Ready to start the next chapter of their lives!
If you can offer a home to one or both, message the page or email avonvalley@safe.org.au
We'd love to see them living their best lives.
If you can't adopt, remember to share!
💜Special-case September 💜
Long-termers, returnees, shy guys, FIV positive kitties, specific dietary requirements...
We have a selection of feline friends in care at the moment who are over-looked and forgotten. ❤️
They all have dreams of being ⭐chosen ⭐
They crave (and deserve) a loving home as much as any other.
This month we're on a mission to rehome as many of our Special Case kitties as we can!
With a new kitten season already upon us even though the last one never really ended... now more than ever we want to rehome these kitties before we are swamped with the cute babies who get all the attention.
All Special Case kitties are available to adopt for the donation of your choice.
Some are looking for Forever-Foster placements, meaning their ongoing vet bills will be covered by SAFE too!
Please note that these kitties have wildly different considerations! Most only require a minimal amount of extra care. If you think you can accommodate any kind of special kitty, we would LOVE to hear from you.
Your home could be their home 🏡🏡🏡
