About Rip
Hi there, my name is Rip. I’m 1yr old black Kelpie x Border Collie. After a bit of time in foster care I am now on the hunt for my furever home.
So far I have learnt all my basic manners. I can walk nicely on a lead and sit at request. My recall is pretty good but I can forget my ears sometimes if I get really excited. I love to play with all my foster fur siblings, going for walks and hanging out with my foster parents.
While I have mastered the basics I still need to find someone who is willing to help me polish up on the finer skills of being the best boy ever. That means I need to find a home with someone who is willing to train me further and spend lots of time with me.
I can sometimes be a little bit shy around new people and dogs but it doesn’t take me long to warm up to everyone. I don’t like being left alone much and can get a little worried, a home with someone around most of the time would be ideal. Cats and chooks make me a little bit too excited, so my new home can’t have any of them. I'd be best suited to a home with older children 12 years plus.
As a typical working breed I need lots of exercise but also mental stimulation during my day. My new parents will need to have a good understanding of working breed dogs.

Adoption details
To apply to adopt a dog from Dogs4Jobs, you must firstly complete our adoptions application form in full at http://dogs4jobs.com.au/adoption-form/.
You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. A meet and greet can be arranged if both parties wish to proceed, and we also offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
