About Asuka
*In foster care in Marrickville, Sydney*
Asuka is an incredibly sweet girl who would love to become your shadow! When you wake up in the morning, she'll be right there to greet you - purring softly and waiting patiently for pats :)
This precious kitty loves a good scratch at the base of her tail, and will fall over herself for more. She'll often roll over and present her belly - which is genuinely never a trap, as she adores a good tummy rub!
Playtime is another favourite part of Asuka's day. She'll happily chase her toys around for as long as you can keep up with her! The teaser wand is probably her toy of choice - she pulls off some pretty amazing acrobatics leaping and twisting in the air to catch it!
Like all Maggie's pets, Asuka is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: Because I'm on the shy side, I'll thrive in a quiet, calm sort of home. I don't like loud noise or sudden movements, including being approached without warning, but if you're gentle and kind I tend to emerge very quickly and warm up double-time if there's some nice pats involved! My foster mum says I've already made great progress with trusting humans, but patience will be essential as we continue to grow our bond.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: High! I enjoy playing and exploring as much as any adolescent cat.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I can be easily spooked by loud and unpredictable activity, so I'm not the best match for a home with young children. It's possible that I might feel comfortable living in a family environment down the track, once I'm fully settled in and feeling safe.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I've spend some time with other cats so a feline friend might be nice! At this stage I haven't had the chance to meet any dogs.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
