About Jellybean and Marshmallow
Jellybean and Marshmallow are two peas in a pod, they love each other to bits and are a bonded pair. Jellybean is approximately 3 years old and Marshmallow is approximately 4 years old.
They are a pair of sweet and gentle girls.
They just love their walks, looking up to you for direction, so a home where daily outings can continue is a must so that the girls continue to get their daily exercise and experience new things is essential. They are very friendly to people and other dogs when out and about. They will bark a bit at other dogs when out and but these are friendly barks.
Of course, a home where they are permitted inside at all times and be permitted to sleep inside of a night time in a warm area of the home is a must preferably in the bedroom.
When they first came into care they were a little bit timid so their carers set them up a crate which both girls are happy sleeping in and it is a routine for them to go into the crate when their carers go to bed and the girls sleep peacefully together and sometimes with their foster brother as well.
These girls need a home with a garden/courtyard preferably. They are mostly housetrained but will need some guidance and time in their new environment and not just be expected to know to go outside. We can provide some tips for setting them up to succeed in their new environment.
They are good with kids having met their carers nieces who are 7 and 14 and other dogs and share their foster home with another small dog so would be ok to share a home with another small dog.
A home with children over the age of 10 would be ok provided they were kind and gentle and the family had time to continue their ongoing training and exercise
We are not sure about cats or other animals
They will need a home where someone is home most of the time.
They do suffer from seperation anxiety however their carer has been working on this with one of our trainers and they have improved greatly. Obviously their new home will be a new environment so they will need to learn your routine so a patient home is needed and positive force-free training will be needed to help them settle into their new home.
Jellybean does suffer from car sickness. Her carers have been working on this and she can now travel 30 to 40 minutes in car if one of her carers sits with her. This will continue to improve with patience and understanding from her new home and with lots of shorter trips with a nice walk at the end, slowly building up distances over time
If you would like to meet these girls please send us as much detail as possible on yourself and the home you are able to provide including your other pets if any, family members, lifestyle, training, socialistion and exercise you are able to provide them, how often they would be alone, where they will have access in the home and sleep of a night, where they would go if you went away and could not take them with you, ability to cover vet expenses and any other information you wish to provide.
