About Bob
Only available for adoption within NSW or ACT
* ideally a home with another well-adjusted friendly greyhound to show Bob the ropes and one experienced with greyhounds would be great but not essential.
* Bob may also be ok as an only dog provided his new owners were home more often than not and can include him in their lives as much as possible
Profile and needs in a home
I am Bob Dylan, Bob for short and I am 3 years old. I’m a big cuddly greyhound and the softest dog you’ve ever felt!
I’m an ex-racer from the country who is learning how to live life in retirement in the city which my carer says doing well with given I have only been in care for a short time.
I’m extremely friendly with all humans and love to be near my foster parents at all times. I’m really excitable but I LOVE my food which helps with training. Plus it’s all worth it when you see my ears flop on top of my head or my fluffy tail wag ferociously (which is all the time).
I am a gentle dog and was a little nervous at the start so i think a home with another well-adjusted friendly greyhound to show me the ropes would be great.
I may also be ok as an only dog provided my new people were home more often than not and can include me in their lives as much as possible
I am looking for a home where I will be allowed inside at all times, cuddle on the couch, and of course sleep inside in a warm area of your home.
I’m looking for a human who will be patient with me while I learn all about human things like dishwashers, which were pretty scary when I first saw one. I need someone who is home more often than not and who can continue my toilet training and socialisation. I get along with my greyhound foster brother but at the moment new dogs are a little overwhelming. My carer has been working with me with force-free positive training and she says I am making slow progress so my new owner must be committed to continue working on my socialisation in a slow and patient manner. My foster carer can give you some tips on what she has been doing to help me.
As a greyhound, I don’t need that much exercise, just a couple of walks a day and outings so that I can continue my socialisation in this new world is what I would like. I am good in the car so i would like to take trips with you to new places that we can explore together🐕💜
My carer is impressed that I can do stairs so I’m apartment friendly and as an added bonus I don't appear to have sleep startle:)
All I want is to snuggle up to my forever human all day! but know I have to be left for short periods as well so that I get used to my new owner not always being at home.
I really am a catch if I do say so myself😃
If you would like to meet me please send the wonderful team at Sydney Animal Second-chance inc an email with as much detail as possible on yourself and the home you are able to provide including details on your other dog if any your experience with greyhounds if any, family members, lifestyle, training, exercise, and outings you will provide me😊 how often I would be alone, where I will have access in the home and where I will sleep at night and where I would go if you went away and could not take me with you, ability to cover my vet expenses when needed and any other information you wish to provide to entice me to be yours🐕💜
Thank you so much😊 Lots of licks Bob Dylan xxxx
