ADOPTION GUIDELINES
QUIET HOUSEHOLD - STEADY, STRUCTURED ROUTINE -- CHILDREN 12 YEARS+--INDOOR/OUTDOOR
Beautiful Duke is a ponderer ... Step 1; think about what is going on, Step 2; assess the situation fully and then step 3; what should I do before I go into action.....
Duke can be cautious around strangers and so he will usually hang back until he feels it time to checkout what he might be missing out on... So for this reason we believe that a quieter household where he can just hang out with his family and be present with your daily activities would be the best fit for him.
Because Duke is a ponderer he finds the shelter environment a LOT to think about so you probably won't see the 'real' Duke straight up but when he does he can be a real smoocher . Duke has shown he can be friends with some dogs and will avoid those whose company he does want.
When Duke decides 'his people' are okay, he will smile and lean in for loads of pats and will give you a good nose bump if you stop before he has had his fill.
Duke is in his prime and over the puppy silliness but still young enough to have loads of adventures with his new family. We are looking for someone that is willing to give him some space to ponder when he first arrives into his new home and after it is likely handsome Duke will become your ever-present best buddy.
The adoption fee for DUKE is $395.00 which helps to cover the cost of mandatory de-sexing, vaccinations, microchip and a lot of care from the RSPCA crew.
